This Privacy Policy describes how Arora Vikas Manch ("we", "us", or "our") collects,
uses, and protects information when you use our website (aroravikasmanch.com)
and the Arora Viah matrimonial mobile application ("the App", available on Google Play
as com.arora.viah).
By using our services you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you register or use Arora Viah, we collect:
- Identity information — full name, date of birth, gender, marital status
- Contact information — mobile number, email address
- Profile information — religion, caste, sub-community, height, education, profession, city, family details, partner preferences
- Photos — profile photo and additional gallery photos you upload
- Messages — chat messages exchanged with matched members
- Device information — device type, operating system, push notification token
- Usage data — pages visited, profiles viewed, interests sent/received
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and display your matrimonial profile to other verified members
- To facilitate connection requests (interests) and in-app messaging between members
- To authenticate your login (mobile number + password)
- To send push notifications for interests, messages, and account updates
- To review and approve profiles (manual admin verification)
- To improve and maintain the platform
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
- With other members — your profile (name, photo, age, city, caste, profession, preferences) is visible to registered members based on your visibility setting (Public / Members Only / Verified Only)
- Mobile number — your phone number is never shown to other members; it is used only as your login ID and for internal administration
- Service providers — we use Firebase (Google) for push notifications. Firebase is governed by Google's Privacy Policy
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users
4. Data Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
- Passwords are hashed using BCrypt; plain-text passwords are never stored
- Chat messages are stored in our secured database and accessible only to the two parties in a conversation
- Only administrators can access the admin portal and only for platform management purposes
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account
at any time from within the App (Account → Delete Account). Upon deletion, your profile, photos,
and messages are permanently removed within 30 days.
6. Children's Privacy
Arora Viah is a matrimonial service intended solely for persons aged 18 years and above.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has registered,
we will delete the account immediately.
7. Your Rights
- Access — view and edit your profile information at any time within the App
- Visibility control — change who can see your profile (Public / Members Only / Verified Only / Hidden)
- Delete account — permanently remove your data via Account → Delete Account
- Data request — email us at aroravikasmanch@gmail.com to request a copy of your data
8. Third-Party Services
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — used for push notifications. See Google Privacy Policy
- Razorpay / Payment gateway — if used for membership fees, payment is processed by the gateway directly; we do not store card details
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect
any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
